Hace mucho tiempo que busco mi propia "Fortaleza de la Soledad" y parece ser que por fin la he encontrado, sera aqui donde realidad y ficcion se den la mano. Bienvenidos a mi pesadilla.
Doro Pesch nace el 3 de Junio de 1964 en Düsseldorf (Alemania). Su andadura musical comienza en 1980 con la banda “Snakebite” con los que graba y edita una maqueta llamada “Beast”.
En 1983 deja “Snakebite” para unirse a una joven banda de Heavy Metal llamada “Warlock”. Durante más de un año la banda realiza pequeñas giras por toda Alemania, el éxito de la demo que sacan les permite firmar con la discográfica independiente “Mausoleum”.
BURNING THE WITCHES
Con la formación: Doro Pesch (vocalista), Rudy Graf (guitarra), Peter Szigetti (guitarra), Frank Rittel (bajista) y Micha Eurich (batería) sacan su primer disco en 1984.
Influenciados por la nueva ola del Heavy Metal británico “Warlock” empieza con fuerza con una Doro Pesch que demuestra que ha venido para quedarse. Dos de los temas de este disco se convertirían con el tiempo en clásicos que todavía suenan en los conciertos de la Alemana: “Burning The Witches” y “Metal Racer”.

Pero no son los únicos grandes temas del disco, “Homicide Rocker” y la balada “Without You” son dos canciones que, aunque menos conocidas, merecen mucho la pena.

El éxito de “Burning The Witches” permite a la banda firmar con “Polygram” una discográfica más potente y comenzar a preparar su segundo trabajo.
HELLBOUND
Con el éxito de este álbum, sumado al del anterior, “Warlock” comienzan a convertirse en un nombre conocido entre los fans. Tras tocar en el “Camdem Palace” de Londres “Warlock” saca su primer video de un directo con el nombre de “Metal Racer”.
A parte de la canción que da titulo al disco también se convertiría en un clásico “Earthshaker Rock”.

Ese año (1985) el guitarrista Rudy Graf abandona el grupo para ser sustituido por Niko Arvanitis.
TRUE AS STEEL
En agosto de 1986 editan este tercer trabajo, como dato histórico cabe destacar que ese año Doro Pesch se convierte en la primera mujer de la historia que se sube al escenario del mítico macro-concierto “Monsters Of Rock”.
La fama de la banda hace que la MTV les pida producir su primer video, "Fight For Rock".
Nuevos cambios se producen en la formación de “Warlock”: El guitarrista Peter Szigetti es sustituido por Tommy Bolan y el bajista Frank Rittel por Tommy Henriksen.
A principios de 1987 “Warlock” se traslada a Nueva York para preparar su siguiente trabajo.
TRIUMPH AND AGONY
En septiembre aparece este disco, el mejor de la banda y uno de esos discos que un fan del Heavy Metal que se precie debe escuchar. Aquí aparecen muchas de las canciones más representativas del repertorio de la teutona.
Para empezar el gran himno de Doro, “All we are”.

Con tan potente arsenal “Warlock” tiene el honor de ejercer de teloneros de “Dio” durante su gira por Europa.
La fama de la banda no impide una nueva variación en sus integrantes: Micha Eurich (batería) y Niko Arvanitis (guitarrista) son sustituidos por Bobby Rondenelly y Jon Devin.
Una vez hechos los cambios “Warlock” se prepara para iniciar la grabación de su nuevo álbum, pero un contratiempo altera sus planes. Problemas legales obligan a la banda a abandonar su nombre.
La formación es rebautizada como “Doro” y es con este nombre con el que sacan su siguiente disco.
FORCE MAJEURE
Aunque ya como “Doro” este podría considerarse el último disco de “Warlock”.

La banda, desanimada por los recientes problemas, decide separarse. Doro se queda sola.
DORO
Es 1990 y Doro contacta con Gene Simmons (Kiss) para que le produzca su nuevo trabajo. Utilizando músicos de estudio Doro graba este disco que lleva su nombre.
La alemana lucha para superar las dificultades ofreciendo nuevas facetas de su música. Por supuesto no faltan los menosmolas que la critican por los cambios. ¡Arderán en el infierno!

Tras expirar el contrato de diez años con “Polygram” la compañía y la cantante no llegan a un acuerdo y rompen relaciones. Son momentos duros para la cantante, la gente no ha aceptado bien sus últimos discos y se encuentra sin discográfica.

Poco después Doro llega a un acuerdo con la “WEA” filial alemana de la “Warner Brothers”, con nueva discográfica la cantante se prepara para su próximo trabajo.
LOVE ME IN BLACK
Cuando en mayo de 1998 se publica este disco se convierte en un éxito. Incluso los más reticentes aprueban el nuevo trabajo de la alemana. De la canción que da nombre al disco surge el video más raro de la cantante. ¿Qué demonios quería decir el director?
La discográfica aprovecha las buenas ventas para sacar tres recopilatorios de Doro.

A pesar del triunfo comercial, tras la gira del disco, se rompe el contrato entre ambas partes. “SPV SteamHammer” llama a la puerta de Doro y se convierten en su nueva discográfica. Son años de muchos conciertos y ya con una banda asentada: Nick Douglas (bajista), Joe Taylor (guitarrista), Johnny Dee (Batería). Con ellos Doro vuelve a tocar en los USA después de diez años, pero no todo son alegrías, en esta época el padre de la cantante, Walter Pesch, al que ella estaba muy unida fallece. Sacando fuerzas la alemana se mete en el estudio para grabar el siguiente disco.
CALLING THE WILD
Dedicado a la memoria de su padre el disco sorprende con el single “White Wedding” que es una versión de la canción de Billy Idol.
Doro y Billy Idol, la música hace extraños compañeros de cama. El disco también incluye “Burn It Up” canción que se convierte en otra de las favoritas de los fans.

Un retorno a la grandeza, el publico americano vuelve a oír a la alemana y los europeos la vuelven a apoyar sin reservas. ¡La reina ha vuelto!
FIGHT
La línea ascendente continua con este disco de clásico Heavy Metal que te retrotrae a los buenos momentos de Warlock.
Gene Simmons vuelve a producir a Doro, esta vez en la versión que la teutona realiza de “Legends Never Die” la canción de Wendy O. Williams. En el disco también hay sitio para baladas como la conocida “Undying” pero las canciones cañeras han venido para quedarse, Doro sabe que el Metal es para la que se lo trabaja y ella lo hace.

CLASSIC DIAMONDS
No he hablado de ningún recopilatorio a lo largo de este post pero este es especial. El disco es un grandes éxitos en toda regla pero con una particularidad, están grabados con una orquesta de música clásica. La épica de algunos temas es estratosférica y podemos encontrar maravillas como esta versión de los “Judas Priest”.
Doro siempre ha dicho que los “Judas” son su banda favorita y qué mejor homenaje que este diamante con la colaboración de Udo Dirkschneider.
WARRIOR SOUL
Como muestra de que los que la enterraban prematuramente estaban muy equivocados este disco se rebela como uno de los mejores de la cantante.
La canción que da nombre al disco es parte de la banda sonora de “Anuk” una película de aventuras alemana en la que la propia Doro tiene un papel.
Entre los grandes temas del disco destaca “You’re My Family” dedicada a todos sus fans, un bonito detalle.

Y con esto concluye el repaso a la carrera de La Reina Del Heavy Metal, historia viva del genero y autentica fuerza de la naturaleza sobre un escenario.
Como gran final un video, este te va a encantar Frank, en el que Doro canta un pedazo de clásico, lastima que le acompañe Blaze Bayley patéticamente eclipsado por la alemana. Lo que hubiese molado con Bruce.

Con la formación: Doro Pesch (vocalista), Rudy Graf (guitarra), Peter Szigetti (guitarra), Frank Rittel (bajista) y Micha Eurich (batería) sacan su primer disco en 1984.
Influenciados por la nueva ola del Heavy Metal británico “Warlock” empieza con fuerza con una Doro Pesch que demuestra que ha venido para quedarse. Dos de los temas de este disco se convertirían con el tiempo en clásicos que todavía suenan en los conciertos de la Alemana: “Burning The Witches” y “Metal Racer”.

El éxito de “Burning The Witches” permite a la banda firmar con “Polygram” una discográfica más potente y comenzar a preparar su segundo trabajo.
HELLBOUND
Con el éxito de este álbum, sumado al del anterior, “Warlock” comienzan a convertirse en un nombre conocido entre los fans. Tras tocar en el “Camdem Palace” de Londres “Warlock” saca su primer video de un directo con el nombre de “Metal Racer”.
A parte de la canción que da titulo al disco también se convertiría en un clásico “Earthshaker Rock”.

Ese año (1985) el guitarrista Rudy Graf abandona el grupo para ser sustituido por Niko Arvanitis.

La fama de la banda hace que la MTV les pida producir su primer video, "Fight For Rock".
Nuevos cambios se producen en la formación de “Warlock”: El guitarrista Peter Szigetti es sustituido por Tommy Bolan y el bajista Frank Rittel por Tommy Henriksen.
A principios de 1987 “Warlock” se traslada a Nueva York para preparar su siguiente trabajo.

Con tan potente arsenal “Warlock” tiene el honor de ejercer de teloneros de “Dio” durante su gira por Europa.
La fama de la banda no impide una nueva variación en sus integrantes: Micha Eurich (batería) y Niko Arvanitis (guitarrista) son sustituidos por Bobby Rondenelly y Jon Devin.
Una vez hechos los cambios “Warlock” se prepara para iniciar la grabación de su nuevo álbum, pero un contratiempo altera sus planes. Problemas legales obligan a la banda a abandonar su nombre.
La formación es rebautizada como “Doro” y es con este nombre con el que sacan su siguiente disco.
FORCE MAJEURE
Aunque ya como “Doro” este podría considerarse el último disco de “Warlock”.

La banda, desanimada por los recientes problemas, decide separarse. Doro se queda sola.

Es 1990 y Doro contacta con Gene Simmons (Kiss) para que le produzca su nuevo trabajo. Utilizando músicos de estudio Doro graba este disco que lleva su nombre.
La alemana lucha para superar las dificultades ofreciendo nuevas facetas de su música. Por supuesto no faltan los menosmolas que la critican por los cambios. ¡Arderán en el infierno!

Poco después Doro llega a un acuerdo con la “WEA” filial alemana de la “Warner Brothers”, con nueva discográfica la cantante se prepara para su próximo trabajo.

Cuando en mayo de 1998 se publica este disco se convierte en un éxito. Incluso los más reticentes aprueban el nuevo trabajo de la alemana. De la canción que da nombre al disco surge el video más raro de la cantante. ¿Qué demonios quería decir el director?
La discográfica aprovecha las buenas ventas para sacar tres recopilatorios de Doro.

A pesar del triunfo comercial, tras la gira del disco, se rompe el contrato entre ambas partes. “SPV SteamHammer” llama a la puerta de Doro y se convierten en su nueva discográfica. Son años de muchos conciertos y ya con una banda asentada: Nick Douglas (bajista), Joe Taylor (guitarrista), Johnny Dee (Batería). Con ellos Doro vuelve a tocar en los USA después de diez años, pero no todo son alegrías, en esta época el padre de la cantante, Walter Pesch, al que ella estaba muy unida fallece. Sacando fuerzas la alemana se mete en el estudio para grabar el siguiente disco.

Dedicado a la memoria de su padre el disco sorprende con el single “White Wedding” que es una versión de la canción de Billy Idol.
Doro y Billy Idol, la música hace extraños compañeros de cama. El disco también incluye “Burn It Up” canción que se convierte en otra de las favoritas de los fans.

Gene Simmons vuelve a producir a Doro, esta vez en la versión que la teutona realiza de “Legends Never Die” la canción de Wendy O. Williams. Como muestra de que los que la enterraban prematuramente estaban muy equivocados este disco se rebela como uno de los mejores de la cantante.
La canción que da nombre al disco es parte de la banda sonora de “Anuk” una película de aventuras alemana en la que la propia Doro tiene un papel.
Entre los grandes temas del disco destaca “You’re My Family” dedicada a todos sus fans, un bonito detalle.

Como gran final un video, este te va a encantar Frank, en el que Doro canta un pedazo de clásico, lastima que le acompañe Blaze Bayley patéticamente eclipsado por la alemana. Lo que hubiese molado con Bruce.

Ahhh Doro Pesch, la Tigresa!!! Diosa del Heavy Metal!!
Como mola el gran video final!! Es una pena que no la cante con Bruce...Que poca voz tiene Bayley!! Fear of the Dark es una de mis canciones favoritas, y oirsela cantar a Doro ha sido una autentica delicia!.
Muy currado el post, como todos los tuyos. Mucha canción que no conocía, muchos clásicos y más de una sorpresa. No conocía "Salvaje", como mola oir a Doro en castellano!!.
Y tampoco sabía que tenía su propia versión de "A Whitter Shade of pale" ni que había versionado a Billy Idol (este tipo ha ganado puntos en mi escala).
Impresionante de verdad. Por cierto, yo tampoco soy capaz de saber que demonios queria decir el director del video de "Love me in Black", aunque no importa, mientras salga Doro el video es bueno.

Me parece increible, aunque ya me lo habías comentado hace tiempo, la cantidad de dificultades que ha pasado esta chica para sacar sus discos. Satán bendiga a Gene Simmons, otro que ha ganado muchos puntos en la escala Frank. Esperemos que se recupere de su pequeño ataque a la patata.
Bueno, estoy casi sin palabras, hay tantas canciones que no había oido, pero que me han parecido una joya!!!.
Voy a crear una religión que sea Doroteista. Es una pena que no se reconozca a esta gran cantante como lo que es, una Diosa del Heavy.
Me da rabia que las revistas "Heavys" saquen en portada a subnormales que no tienen talento ni serian capaces de limpiarse ellos solos el culo...
Me hace enloquecer ver los carteles de los supuestos conciertos de "Heavy y Rock", llenos de mamarrachos lamepenes...
Los jovenes de hoy en día no sabeis lo que es bueno!!!
